As much as I hate this kind of change, because I know why it's happening, these are the kinds of offices I would probably wonder why they keep it open anyway.

Oddly it looks like they're keeping this one open...

The smallest post office in the US. It's in the middle of the floriduh everglades.

5. It's actually the prospect of the inconvenience of having to drive/ride downtown to pick up packages

The distance is far greater and the local buses are a hassle, and hubby has the car to go to work which doesn't get out until after the post offices close. I live in a "dangerous" neighborhood so if you don't come to the door for parcels they take them back to the post office instead of leaving them in the mailbox or by the door if they come by USPS.

7. Probably a lot of "early retirements" and a lot of unwanted transfers
followed by more early retirements.
