Tucson billboard: "Rush Limbaugh Straight Shooter"

Posted on freerepublic.com by a user who says it is just a few miles from the site of the assassination attempt.

1. KNST is a Tucson area station
But I'm sure this can all be explained away with the standard "Whoa folks, he's just an entertainer!" which absolves Limbaugh, the billboard company and KNST from any responsibility for what some nutjob, saturated in their "entertainment," does in his spare time.

2. Full of fake bullet holes no less.
Tasteless no matter how you slice it.

3. I think that sign is on the east side of I-10.
If it is where I seem to remember, then it would be five or ten miles west of the Ina and Oracle intersection where the shootings occurred.

4. You've got to remember that Arizona

is a state that sells fake bullet hole decals for your pick up truck, along with "truck nutz".

"Palin is Hot
Biden is NOT"

Seriously - there's more to politics than a beauty contest.

8. I've seen the fake bullet holes on cars here in WA state too. Billboard? Leave it up.
Let the visible associations between guns, shooting, killing and the RW hate machine remain visible wherever possible.

As for the fake bullet holes, all I can think is that those same people would freak the hell out if they found a REAL one on their car. But it's all cool to look gangsta when it's under control. :eyes:
