Gingrich semi-explains Tiffany’s debt: I like ‘nice things’
Source: RawReplay
By Kase Wickman

Former House speaker Newt Gingrich’s bid for the White House has not been able to outrun nagging questions about debt for months. It was revealed in May that Gingrich had a half-million dollar line of credit at jeweler Tiffany & Co., and he has mostly refused to answer any questions about it, other than to call it “normal.”

In an interview with a Boston Fox affiliate, Gingrich expressed confusion about why having a line of credit with the upscale jeweler would be a problem, along with the lavish spending he has done on his campaign (his campaign is already more than a million dollars in debt because of expenses like luxury private jets).

His explanation: “I love my wife, I’m happy we’re able to do nice things.”

1. A more truthful translation:
'In order to entice this latest trophy wife to stay with a bloated sack of shit like myself, it's necessary to bribe her with sparkly gewgaws that I can't afford. Please contribute to my campaign so I can skim the proceeds and keep Tiffany's collection agency at bay.'

2. No doubt he has all mirrors in his house draped with heavy cloth
and pays a security team to lead him on a reflection free path.

This is understandable and well worth the money.

3. I like 'nice things' too, but his kind seem intent on making sure I can't...
...even get 'necessary things', let alone 'nice things'.

Go fuck yourself Gingrich.
