The leaky boat

The donkey and the elephant sailed a very leaky boat.

As the boat filled with water, the elephant recoiled, not wanting to get his feet wet. The donkey, fearing the boat would sink, started to bail out the water with a bucket. He bailed frantically to stem the flow of water coming from between every board.

"You're not fixing the problem!" The elephant said, as he sat on the bulkhead with his feet raised. "Look at you. You're nearly exhausted and we're still sinking. You've wasted your time, and the problem just won't go away."

"I know," Said the donkey. "We really need to haul out the boat and make repairs!"

"Too expensive!" Said the elephant. "Damn this water!"
