I went and looked at the Cut, Cap, and Balance website. There, you'll find this:
THE PLEDGE
I pledge to urge my Senators and Member of the House of Representatives to oppose any debt limit increase unless all three of the following conditions have been met:
1.Cut - Substantial cuts in spending that will reduce the deficit next year and thereafter.
2.Cap - Enforceable spending caps that will put federal spending on a path to a balanced budget.
3.Balance - Congressional passage of a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution -- but only if it includes both a spending limitation and a super-majority for raising taxes, in addition to balancing revenues and expenses.

234 to 190
Now, I realize that they were not voting on the amendment at that time, but do the T-Baggers realize they have to get 2/3 of both houses to go along with this (which ain't gonna happen)? Do they also know they'd have to get 38 states to go along with this (maybe, but I don't think so).
So the game plan is what??? I'm guessing they figure to just shut down the Government and wait it out? If that happens, and there is deemed to be no "14th Amendment Solution," how soon can recall petitions be circulated in the so-called Tea Party districts? I ask because I think recalling them is more likely than getting 2/3 of both houses to pass a BBA with the added caveats of spending limits and supermajorities for tax increases.
