Right-Wing Media Outraged Norway Attacker Accurately Labeled A Christian
http://mediamatters.org/research/201107270015

After rushing to declare that the recent attacks in Norway were linked to Muslims, the right-wing media has now expressed outrage that the perpetrator, Anders Breivik, is being described accurately as a self-identified Christian.

O'Reilly: "Liberal Media Have Branded" Breivik "A Christian, Even Though There Is ... No Evidence." On The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly claimed: "The New York Times and other liberal media have branded the Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik a Christian, even though there is absolutely no evidence the man is a follower of Jesus Christ." O'Reilly later claimed: "There is no evidence this man was a member of a church. No evidence that he followed the teachings of Jesus Christ. As you know, they're nonviolent. OK? No evidence that he had anything to do with the Christian faith. Yet, they call him a Christian because he says he is? Come on." {Fox News, The O'Reilly Factor, 7/26/11 via Media Matters}

5. Do you one better: "Terrorist proclaimed himself Darwinian, not Christian"
No, not a joke.

Yet, while McVeigh rejected God altogether, Breivik writes in his manifesto that he is not religious, has doubts about God's existence, does not pray, but does assert the primacy of Europe's "Christian culture" as well as his own pagan Nordic culture.

Breivik instead hails Charles Darwin, whose evolutionary theories stand in contrast to the claims of the Bible, and affirms: "As for the Church and science, it is essential that science takes an undisputed precedence over biblical teachings. Europe has always been the cradle of science, and it must always continue to be that way. Regarding my personal relationship with God, I guess I'm not an excessively religious man. I am first and foremost a man of logic. However, I am a supporter of a monocultural Christian Europe."

8.  McVeigh rejected God altogether????
Guess WorldNutDaily just forgot that McVeigh took the sacrament of Catholic last rites before he was executed?

6. He's not a Christian fundamentalist/evangelical as we see in the U.S.
That sort is pretty uncommon in Europe. Norwegians are mostly secular-ish Lutherans, and I assume that's how he was raised. He says he's a Protestant who thinks the Catholics should take over the denomination in furtherance of Christian unity. While he is not a devout churchgoer he has specifically identified himself as a Christian, so it's pretty tough for Bill Orally, et al., to claim he isn't.

10. So these people are basically saying
that all Muslims are bad? All 1 Billion of them?

Because they can't seem to grasp that some are bad, and some aren't. The same applies to so-called "Christians."

11. Come on O Reilly, That was part of Reporting out of Norway.
It is Absolutist thinking that for some people sends
them over the edge. Where do you find the most Absolutist
thinking??? On the Right in Politics--I am right.
It is my way or the high way. And In Christianity
most especially, Fundamentalist Religion. God is on their
side. Something is right or wrong, black or white--no
extenuating circumstances (shades of gray).

Can they not admit there is good and bad in everything, and
religion is no different. The Right has good people and
not so good people. Just be honest. No Group is Perfect.

12. He's full of crap
I always thought that if someone claimed that they believe that Jesus was their lord and savior than they were christian. He's a self proclaimed Christian therefore hes christian. He doesn't have to belong to a church. For the life I can't understand why anyone, conservative or not watches this imbecile.
