1. Don't Sign this Petition, BAD FOR OBAMA, BAD for country!
The 14th amendment will create a constitutional crisis. The SCOTUS is conservative and the President will lose in court and it could give the repugs an opportunity to IMPEACH ObAMA, AN OPPORTUNITY they have been working for. spend time on impeachment, in an election year, don't address economic problems and delay, avoid and don't act. That really is their motto and we cannot let the repugs succeed at obtaining their goal of MAKING OBAMA FAIL, even if they have to take the whole nation down with him. Obama will do what he has to do, let's give him the room do it.

4. Invoking the Fourteenth Amendment would probably be the best thing for Obama to do...
...not only for the country, but also for his re-election hopes.

I'd dare the Republicans to try to impeachment him -- it worked out so well for them last time :sarcasm: Americans will turn on them once again if they so blatantly try to play politics, ESPECIALLY while our economy is in such a mess.

It's time Democrats stop protecting Republicans from themselves. Expose them for the childish brats they are.

3. Invoking the 14th would not even come close to ending the budget crisis.

The 14th amendment only allows him to pay existing debts, not create new ones. Without congress, there is no budget.

6. #1-There is no crisis. #2-The debt ceiling directly involves debt already
incurred.

5. Recommended.
No need for more Americans to suffer. No need to damage our country anymore to these radicals.

7. It won't end the budget crisis, but it will end the debt ceiling crisis
by starting a constitutional crisis

FYI, I am signer #10,593

My message was to first challenge the constitutionality of the debt ceiling law so we can be on the offensive in the debate
