As a way to deal with the spate of Voter ID Repression Laws, I think it would be a good idea to have a website for information about how to get the required IDs - sort of a national voter id clearinghouse - to help people find out how to deal with this and perhaps provide assistance in obtaining them.
(sorry, I know that is ill stated and not well thought out)

1. Or maybe links to where to find the info |
|
For instance, Florida has pretty good explanations about how to get a state ID, which meet the photo ID requirement to actually vote. Registering to vote is now easier than actually voting! FLORIDA Registering: http://election.dos.state.fl.us/voter-registration/voter-reg.shtmlRequirements for Driver's License or State ID Card: http://www.dmvflorida.org/drivers-license-identification.shtml

4. Here in Wisconsin there's nothing we can do about voter ID for the time being, |
|
so I believe that the Democratic Party should make it their mission to identify and help people who need IDs in any way--where they need to go to obtain the IDs and help in getting there if needed. This should be part of voter registration and we have over a year before the 2012 elections and many months before a recall election of Walker here in Wisconsin.
