My LTTE today proves that Republicans are bad for America....
Which party has created more jobs?

Reading the letters in this column, I have seen many claims as to how the Republican Party is superior in promoting economic growth and jobs. Just to be sure, I decided to look it up.

Turns out, the Republican stats are pretty dismal. For instance, if you invested $10,000 in the S&P 500 only during Republican administrations since 1929, your investment would have grown to $11,733. However, if you had invested that same money only under Democratic administrations, you would have a nest egg of $300,671. This was documented by The New York Times in an article on Oct. 14, 2008 (“Bulls, Bears, Donkeys and Elephants”).

But Republicans are better at job creation, right? Well, no, they really stink at that as well. Since Dwight Eisenhower, Republican administrations have averaged job creation in the 9 percent range. Democrats, on the other hand, top 18 percent job creation. My source was that left wing rag called The Wall Street Journal in an article published on Jan. 9, 2009 (“Bush on Jobs: The Worst Track Record on Record”).

The final results for President Obama are yet to be written, but it would take an unprecedented cataclysm to equal the sorry performance of Republican administrations.

(Feel free to appropriate and send to your local paper)

2. I Would Send This To My Local Newspaper...............
..................but my right-wing rag wouldn't print it. The Columbus Disgrace.........er, Dispatch............., owned by the right-wing Wolff family, has endorsed every single Republican presidential candidate for the last 100 years. The last Democrat they endorsed was Woodrow Wilson.

7. The amazing gratnak will now look into the future
And tell you that the Republican rebuttal to this liberally-biased reality is that . . . of course market growth and job creation were down during Republican administrations! It's only logical, because, you see, they were fixing the problems created by their Democrat predecessors. It was only when the Republicans had set things to right, and the Democrats had seized power again, that the full benefit of Republican policies was realized in job creation and market growth.

See?
