Federal loan critic Michele Bachmann benefited from federal home loan programme

Michele Bachmann has been a fierce critic of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, blaming the government-backed loan programmes for excesses that helped create the financial meltdown in 2008.
She has strongly criticised government subsidies and said that federally backed home lending programmes place an undue burden on taxpayers.

But records show that Mrs Bachmann took out a home loan in 2008 that offered lower costs to the borrower through one of the federally subsidised programmes.

But then she hardly ever cleanly answers questions. She and her husband have taken advantage using government programs for their own benefit, programs that now she wants to eliminate. They have been the king and queen of government handouts. Talk about hypocritical politicians.
