Since the repukes cant even get a bill passed in their House, wouldnt now be a good time for Offense |
|
Poor old Boehner cannot even pass a bill in his repuke House because of the batshit teabagger caucas.
Wouldnt now be a great time for the Dems to go on the offense and send up a clean debt ceiling bill in the Senate and House? I doubt that anything will ever pass the House (until all these teabaggers get voted out this next election)

1. I've been saying this for 2 days. |

Take a clean bill and stick it in Boner's sniveling face. Wipe away the tear stains and make him sign off on it.

|
the Senate is a done deal and maybe then we could save our credit rating which is being held hostage

2. Dems can do nothing in the House. Boehner sets the agenda |
|
and he would never allow a Dem authored bill to go forward.

3. Wouldn't it be a good time to sequester House and Senate |
|
with only solo bathroom passes allowed and censure/contempt/high crime charges on those who leave? We need to get this done, NOW!

This is the best possible outcome for this mess. It would not take many Republicans to join with the Dems to get this done. Surely there are few sane Pubs left. At least, when it comes to saving the country from the dire straits that await. Will their corporate masters push them hard enough to get the job done?

8. go after the pukes that are feeling pressure from the US Chamber of Commerce |
|
the CoC feels burned by the teabaggers they supported, because now they need to act on the debt limit before the credit rating agencies trash us...which hurts same said Chamber of Commerce. If the Dems could funnel off a few of the CoC faithful, they could maybe pass a clean bill tomorrow

Holding on to the ball beyond first down could result in losses in the next election. Also, we need to get on with whatever happens after the punt, so delaying the punt simply delays the inevitable.
No, I think the Democratic strategy of punting on first down is the least risky of all possible courses of action.
We must be fair and reasonable, after all.
