Breaking: Republican-controlled House of Representatives about to vote on naming post offices!
Seriously! Boner doesn't have the numbers to pass his BS debt reduction bill, so they just won't vote on it. Instead, a series of crucial post office naming bills is about to come to the floor.

3. Luke Russert said on MSNBC that there are 8 post offices in question, and there can
be up to forty minutes of debate (!) on each, for a total of up to 5 hours!

What an embarrassing use of a painfully-acquired national spotlight!

9. I'm damn glad they have their priorities straight.
This crap they are pulling is an act of terrorism toward the American people.

11. I was absolutely amazed - Post Office Naming in Mississippi
I also turned on CSPAN at 6 pm tonight and was abolutely amazed to see live coverage of Republicans on the floor of the House of Representative debating the naming of a Post Office in Mississippi. They have brought the world to the brink of economic collapse, and this is how they spend their time during a crisis?

I expected to see a bunch of them in a corner reading "My Pet Goat."

By the way, you can now buy insurance on bonds of the Coca Cola Corporation for less than insurance on US Treasury Bonds. (Source - Public Radio's Marketplace program).

14. Why don't they just pass the one page bill just raise the debt ceiling and that's it.
Bohner would get enough democrats to vote for that and probably enough non teabagger republicans too so we can just move on with our lives.
