Chris Christie Taken To Hospital For Tests After Having Difficulty Breathing (VIDEO)

SOMERVILLE, N.J. — Blunt-talking Gov. Chris Christie, who some Republicans have been trying to persuade to run for president, was taken to a hospital Thursday after he had difficulty breathing.

The 48-year-old governor, who uses an inhaler for asthma, was driven to Somerset Medical Center by his state police security detail out of an "abundance of caution," said Christie spokesman Michael Drewniak. All indications are the governor will be OK, Drewniak said.

Maria Comella, Christie's deputy chief of staff, told The Associated Press that Christie is "fine and in charge." Close friend and adviser Bill Palatucci said Christie was "getting tests and working from the hospital."

1. I liked his comments on his recent judicial appointment

I hope he's okay.

Not a very good governor, but he showed some real humanity this week.

3. Not being able to breathe really sucks
As someone who has had asthma attacks in the past, I know how scary and horrible it feels to not be able to breathe.

And when I heard this, I gotta admit, it made me smile from ear to ear.

F this F'n F. And his little dog too.

5. While Asthma is a Serious Medical Condition
I suspect Christie has even more serious medical problems. I have read that he can not walk even short distances without being out of breath. This could be a result of severe COPD or even congestive heart failure aggravated by his apparent obesity. I also believe his medical condition is the reason he will never get in the race for president which would require a disclosure of his medical records.

7. Well, at least Governor Christie has access to the best healthcare system on the planet
as well as likely being fully insured through one of his state government's healthcare coverage plans...whew!!

Fortunately for him, he isn't one of those "unprivileged" tens of millions amongst the great unwashed in the US who have none whatsoever.

9. Bad Diet and Poor Eating Habits
Can take a toll on you. And don't tell me him being fat is caused by a medical condition. The medical condition is he can't stop eating.
