1. Add to it a nation of people who can't think properly, and you've got contol by Elephants

We're graduating blobs who can't think logically, have no math skills, et cetera.

I am painfully aware of our shortcomings having spent the last ten years around bright Europeans. They're proficient in language skills. That is a big part of the problem.

So the Elephant gets away with murder while the masses are absorbing photons from COPS, FOX, Survivor, and whatnot.

I was moving in the wrong direction up until a few years ago. I now work very hard to make up for lost time. And I'll say one thing- no pain, no gain. It takes a lot of work to grow.

8. The Repug plan which has been going on for 30

years to destroy the public school system has been accomplished. Critical thinking, Math, Arts, history and it's implications. Proven Sciences are all basically being denied by politicians. Instead Creationism and tests that don't test flourish in the schools. Kids graduate without knowing how to read.

The Republicans continue to attack our teachers and our schools as if they haven't done enough damage.

12. We're not building a society that values culture.

I'm quite discomforted by this. Having grown up in the epicenter of culture, I took it for granted. I was lazy. Or at least by my standards I was. Then I left to find a place in the country, and discovered how the rest of the nation lives. What a shock that was. And so having a sampling of the majority of our country, I backed away, and am now not sure what to do.

I still maintain my point that without effort almost all creation fails to be enlightening and inspiring. Every year I turn on the tv and watch the Tour de France. To see 80 year old men lining the side of the road, cheering on the peloton is just a peripheral indicator as to the values of their society.

I'm rambling due to a poor night's sleep. It's a crucial subject. Even as a child, 45 years ago, I knew I lived in a thin society. I just didn't realize it to the extent I did once I moved to a conservative area much later on in life. I've never been proud nor happy here. We couldn't even adopt the metric system. Something that would have made our lives far easier. But it was foreign, and seemed difficult. Only during engineering school did I realize what a gift it would have been to shift over to it. Even I didn't wake up until I had a minimal amount of serious education.

You know all of this. It's why I'm here on this forum. I have a adolescent attitude on life. I'm a young person going on 60, unlike many here. But I still feel a kinship to the values of those who frequent this forum.

One, they don't know what the donkey and elephant represent. Two, they don't know what the vase represents. And three, they have been brainwashed into thinking that Democrats spend more than Republicans.

Usually you can just add a question mark at the end of the image address to fool the DU software into showing it as a link and not a picture. I usually add ?pic to the end so it doesn't look like I'm asking the internet a question. :)

To take it one step further, you could use the DU link command to embed the link in the image itself:
