8. I don't think you can get 60 votes in the Senate for a clean bill. Do you?
And then, without the Speaker's OK, I think it is a multi day process to force a bill to the house floor for a vote, even if Pelosi can get a bipartisan majority to support it.

The scary part is that it looks like the splintering of the R's may put us in a worse position at least as to getting something done before Aug. 2.
