How long before terror sets in for you? |

Just set in for me a few minutes ago.
I honestly thought the Boehner Bill was going to pass today with relatively few problems.
McCarthy's optimism plummeted very quickly.

1. But even if it passed, it wouldn't have gone anywhere - it |

3. Here's the best thing you can do for that growing fear. |
|
Book a two-week vacation somewhere where there's no TV or radio reception.
Whatever is going to happen is going to happen whether you and I are watching it happen or not. It would be a lot less stressful just to go away for a few weeks and come back after it's all blown over.

6. The Republican Party has split... |
|
Congress, and therefore our government has ceased to function.
There is nothing written in the Constitution to tell us what to do if the House falls apart and can not pass bills.
Of course tomorrow, Boehner may retire and anew face step in. Even if he is there, he is not in charge.
There are eighty or so TP republicans who will not let it pass. Without enormous help from Democrats, nothing would get through. Democrats will not and should not vote for crap.
Interesting, scary times.

12. If no SSD check arrives on the 3rd or after the 5th of next month, means I am pretty much screwed |

But it may not matter, if I get my money or not, if much/most of the country goes batshit crazy soon as a result, (grocery stores/banks close, ect..) and perhaps some/many of the more fabulously wealthy have likely booked their way outta here already to wherever their oceanfront villa is located in the Caribbean, ect..and may have, just to be on the safe side, transferred and then exchanged some/much of their cash to "somewhat" safer currencies.
The 21st century totally sucks ass, IMO, btw...I am pretty glad now, that I will have lived most of my life in the latter half of the 20th century, at least some of those years were relatively stable and enjoyable, and not every one was so damned stress-inducing like '01-'11 has been every single frigging year for the most part.
