BWHAHAHA: Rand Paul Calls John McCain a TROLL!!

“I’d rather be a hobbit than a troll,” freshman Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said on a conference call when asked by POLITICO about McCain’s remarks. “

" The “Lord of the Rings” metaphors crept into the debt-limit fight on Thursday, as tea-party heroes fired back at Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) who mocked members of the conservative grassroots movement as “tea-party hobbits.” “I’d rather be a hobbit than a troll,” freshman Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said on a conference call when asked by POLITICO about McCain’s remarks. “I think in reading the books, the hobbits were the heroes. They overcame great obstacles, and I think I’d rather be a hobbit than a troll.”

Added fellow freshman Sen. Mike Lee, who co-founded the chamber’s tea party caucus with Paul and Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.): “It’s stunning to me that some people have resorted to name calling rather than simply addressing the issue.”

McCain, his party’s presidential nominee in 2008, took to the Senate floor a day earlier, blasting tea-party lawmakers for opposing House Speaker John Boehner’s plan to raise the debt ceiling because it doesn’t require passage of a balanced budget amendment.

The five-term senator is a strong supporter of such an amendment but he dismissed their stance as “foolish,” “deceiving and “bizarro,” saying it is unrealistic the proposed amendment could win the 67 votes needed to clear the Democratic-controlled Senate.

2. It's definitely time for the one page bill or for Obama to invoke the 14th
This madness can't go on.

10. In a CNN interview, Michele Bachmann made her position known regarding invoking the 14th.

In an interview with CNN, Michele Bachman said:

“It’s Congress that does the spending. The president is prohibited to do that. If he had the power to do that he would effectively be a dictator. There would be no reason for Congress to even come into Washington DC.

“Clearly that’s unconstitutional. If it happened there would be a call for the president’s impeachment within seconds.”

15. She knows so little about this that she's oblivious of Harry Truman
Given what happened tonight the Dems should be able to seize the opportunity to try and push for a clean bill. But frankly, I don't give a damn if the House moves to impeach should the Executive invoke the 14th. Obama can weather it.

13. A broken clock is right twice a day, and McCain is right about the teabaggers
He might be wrong on just about everything else, but he's absolutely right about the teabaggers. The idea that you can pass a Constitutional amendment in such a short amount of time is laughable at best, and shows just how completely naive and foolish the teabaggers are.
