4. Which means the price of their bond holdings go down
it also means a higher cost for Crotch Industries to finance their fixed income issuances.

6. I think somebody has to be shorting treasuries
or this entire situation makes even less sense.

9. Well We Know Cantor Is Invested in an Ultrashort Fund…
…that will pay off bigtime if we default.

We can assume that his paymasters are too, but their numbers have a few more zeroes at the end.

5. Some of them, like Cantor, probably will benefit -- are actually
placing bets against the economy.

They created a monster they cannot control.

16. An interesting analogy. Instead of submissive idiots, idiots whose power
has gone to their heads.

13. It certainly seems like that but I don't think they would do anything without
a payoff and/or direction from those who are financing them.

15. Don't know about the Koch guys, but a lot of rich folks would wind up bankrupt in an economic crash
Can't imagine that very many corporate types are eager to experience a global economic crisis.

8. Honestly, I think they created something they now ca't control.
Remember those words "Be careful what you wish for". The nutball TBers are out of anone's control now and they know they have power. Boner is too prowd to ask the Dems for help on this vote and he & his speakership may go down because of pride.

11. The kids are out of control
Their predecessors were kicked out of the party... and sent to the kid's table... but these guys, they gave them an M80, and ooooopppp it was a full tac nuke with codes.

They are out of control imho.

As to the Kochs, they benefit either way. Remember these "patriots" helped Stalin build the state.

12. The Koch brothers have no doubt shorted stocks and T bills.
They'll own this country outright if there is a default. THEY WANT IT.

14. the koch industry-funded teabagger party know NOT what the hell they are talking about...
Edited on Thu Jul-28-11 11:39 PM by divine_truine
Especially when it comes to running a 'functional' govt...for the people by the people!

When teabaggers are invited on to a network (other than fux noise) they melt under the harsh light of chronological & orderly FACTS! They are such corporate boot lickers entranced by greed & a lust for power that it is truly a spectacle to behold

18. If they are looking to expand around the world and buy up business a worldwide
economic tanking would be good for them. That way they could buy up businesses cheap. That is the only thing I can think of.
