3. Short Term Mindmeld...

We're a year and three months away from the election...an eternity in today's frentic, chase the bouncy toy, corporate media world. This game is all about posturing and perception...trying to set up the memes for next year. It's an all out attempt by the rushpublicans to weaken this President and attempt to throw all the blame of the economy on him. Sending the country into default will help put that meme out there that could create a perception of a weak President. Unfortunately for those facing economic hardships things will be getting worse, not better and that's the ultimate GOTB goal here. It's easier to tank the economy than fix it (as the rushpublican have proven when they were in the control).

Few people who will notice their interest rates jump or prices spike at the grocery will connect it to the teabaggers...just to the guy whose sitting in the Oval office...
