Quote of the day

"Less Than Expected"

It is a theme these days.

So many problems could be solved by simply giving people other than banksters some free money.

Which is why, of course, we aren't doing it.

1. ...and slow down the Robin Hood in Reverse?
Can't have that. It would delay the rollout of the New Feudalism.

3. You give a man with $100 in his pocket a $1,000, what is he going to do with it?
He will spend it.

Give a man with a billion dollars another billion, what is he going to do with it?

Put it in his offshore bank account so it can earn him even more money to hoard.

Give the poor and middle class some money and the economy will scream. Keep it out their hands and the economy will screech to a stop.

It's that simple!

4. We should have nationalized the banks (or regionalized them) when they went bankrupt.
I didn't see any need to subsidize their failed businesses. Now, with OUR money, they're selling derivatives all over again. The pyramid is being built back up and they're at the top.

With the same money we GAVE them, we should have created an independent national bank system, hire the rank and file workers and fired 99% of the managers who by rights, should have been fired.

7. Outstanding post. .
Love how that free market system works! Privatized profits, socialized risk.

6. But the most important thing in the world is to make rich people richer.
Giving money to other people prevents rich people from getting as rich as they can get.

When rich people are as rich as they can be, the poor people can't hurt them. The rich people can always buy mercenaries to protect them from the poor people. So the poor people slave for the rich until the poor die off.

As I understand it from reading The Family, this is how GAWD wants it.

Now that would be a stimulus.

Just print it and do it.

Beer and travel money.

9. That money wasn't free, it was stolen
How about giving workers the money they *earn*, rather than turning it into profits for the banksters and executives and uberrich?

People struggling to get by (which is most of us these days) aren't asking for something for free. We are asking for what we deserve.

The top 2% don't deserve any of their wealth. It is stolen from the backs of workers. And it is only getting worse.
