Scarborough: Dems Say Privately Obama Is Invisible, Not A Leader
Scarborough: Dems Say Privately Obama Is Invisible, Not A Leader

Joe Scarborough: "I have got to clear this up. Mika heard two days ago on Capitol Hill Democrats all saying the same thing. And that is, this president has been invisible, he is not a leader. They said this all behind closed doors. Democratic leaders, Democratic rank-and-file. In fact, 40, 50 of the most powerful Democrats on the Hill. I will just stop right there. The complaints were all the same. The president has vanished. He has left us here alone again like he did with health care. Where is he? Now, they didn't call him a loser, but they sure as hell didn't call him a leader."

"The president has vanished."

1. Obama played along for a while and nobody liked that.
Edited on Fri Jul-29-11 11:07 AM by Renew Deal
Now he's letting them sort it out themselves and nobody likes that either. If Obama says he's for anything, the republicans will come out against it.

21. Exactly, Obama had meetings with them every day for weeks.
And the most action he got from any congressperson was when Cantor and then Boehner stormed out in a huff.

Are there really Democrats who believe Obama can do an LBJ and turn Teabagger votes after Boehner failed to do it? If there is, they're delusional.

2. Consider the source. JS is still reeling from Lawrence O'Donnel's presence
yesterday on Morning Joe. SO-O today he's continuing his ever patient jihad against the President. He said, she said via Mika! She heard this from 40-50 Dems? You're right:

22. Lawrence mopped the floor with both Joe and Grover Norquist!
Edited on Fri Jul-29-11 04:17 PM by snappyturtle
The two offenders were defending repuke position(s) in the debt ceiling debate and LO more than pointed out the error of their ways. If I can find a video link, I'll come back to post it....didn't think about that before I posted!

edit: Nope, no video! Surprise, surprise! I guess MSNBC didn't want their golden boy archived!

3. "He has left us here alone again like he did with health care. "
No one remembers...except maybe Obama, and Mrs. Clinton -- that in 1993-94, the number one complaint from Democratic congresscritters was "The White House came down here and dropped off their bill and said 'Pass it'. They left us out of the loop -- no input, no hand in the drafting."

Some people you can't make happy, because they don't want to be happy.

4. Obama offered Boehner everything his people wanted ...
Edited on Fri Jul-29-11 11:32 AM by Akoto
... and asked for a comparatively small amount of revenue in return. Boehner walked away. What more could the president do for them?

Personally, I think he's staying away in order to keep attention off of himself, so that he can come out with the 14th Amendment if all else fails.

7. If JoeScar is complaining, Obama's doing the right thing
Scarborough is, of course, trying to shift the attention from Boehner, who was publicly humiliated by his out-of-control caucus. But Obama is right to let the Congress do its thing here, especially if he needs to jump in at the end.

8. Obama? Where's the congressional leadership?
Edited on Fri Jul-29-11 11:18 AM by Uben
So now the president has to babysit congress? If Boner could do his job, there would not be a problem. Typical to blame the president for republican incompetence.

on edit: They wanted to make Obama look bad, and now they want him to take the onus off them because they are totally screwing everything up.

9. No one can accuse the President of not being deeply involved in this.
He has held meeting after meeting after meeting after meeting, all negotiations. And when he wasn't doing that, he has been on tv giving a briefing or holding a press conference. He even hosted a townhall or 2. This has all been in recent weeks, some of it even in the past few days.

15. Publicly, Suji To Seoul says Scarborough can suck my balls, not a human!
Suji to Seoul: "I have got to clear this up. STS's mother heard two days ago on the internet all saying the same thing. And that is, Joe Scarborough has been molesting farm animals while singing Barney songs, he is not a well man. These sites said this all in seriousness. Liberal Sites, Moderate Sites. In fact, 40, 50 of the most powerful sexual aide sites on the interest say Joe is their best customer. I will just stop right there. The complaints were all the same. Joe is a pervert and had a dead intern in his office. He has left alone only animals he can't fit his small dick into, and again, he likes only farm animals that don't run faster than him. Where is he? Now, I didn't call him a pervert, but I sure as hell didn't call him a asshole."

PURELY SATIRE. . .I do not imply that Joe is a farm animal pervert. . .but I didn't call him an asshole.

That's why he's on so early or else that Willy Giest guy would have a longer show.
