Sen Toomey, on MSNBC, just applauded Clinton for balancing the budget
So I guess Toomey is for raising taxes since that's one of the ways Clinton managed achieving a balanced budget.

2. did he mention that not a single Republican voted for Clinton's 1993 budget?
and that Dick Armey warned that that budget would cause a Great Depression? No, he didn't mention that?

7. Clinton advised Obama to use the 14th amendment.
Why is it that when a Republican is president, they rule as though there's only ONE way -- the REPUBLICAN way AND they could care less about the needs of those who don't fit into their "American" fantasy world...

And when a Democrat is president, they bend over backwards to please the Republicans, which is particularly horrifying when today's Republicans have no common sense, don't provide any solutions that consider the well-being of ALL citizens, &, frankly, seem to want to run this country into the ground in the name of corporate greed?

That's why Obama needs to put his foot down & do the right thing. Common sense & common decency should prevail.

4. Hi eleny!
Apart from that comment from him, he is completely despicable and as looney as the house teahadists. I yelled at the teevee when he was on.

5. That's not quite what I heard. He said Bush I & II and Clinton supported a BBA and that current
Senate Dems should follow their lead and support Boehner's proposal and that they need to learn to "listen to the American people" and compromise.

It was an enormous load of BS.

8. The DEMOCRATS need to COMPROMISE??!!
I agree ONLY that the Democrats need to LISTEN TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, not those "tens of people" who CALL themselves "Americans" while admiring Germany's radical way of doing things back in the 1940's.

9. Yep. And Andrea Mitchell just listened. No follow up on his claims that the American public
"overwhelmingly supports a BBA." Anything that comes from the mouths of these cretins is lies.

11. He's talking about those "tens of people". Most people are concerned about jobs, out-sourcing,
& savings accounts ear-marked for their retirement (Social Security & Medicare) that have been pilfered by congress.

10. What he said was that Clinton, a Dem, balanced the budget
We all know that raising taxes was one of the ways it was accomplished. Once again, A republican told part of a story to make his point. If he had to do the same as Clinton and Clinton's Congress - he wouldn't have any part of it. Toomey is a hypocrite and a liar.

12. I thought the TP's line
was Clinton's balanced budget was a myth, all smoke and mirrors?

They are such hypocritical shits. This better be waking the country up to what evil nutcases these people are but it may all ready be too late. I just hope the old saying "better late then never" wins the day.
