4. "Myths" is far too romantic a term for what are clearly, in many cases, deliberate lies
Excellent resource. Highly recommended.

7. Just spoke to my personal economic adviser who specializes
in environmental economics (yes, I actually have one). I am neither an environmentalist nor an economist, so I am trying to translate into my own non-technical understanding and then put it into written language and I may be somewhat inaccurate and vague.

She read the article, says we should note that the climate change skeptic states that the NASA numbers challenge the "alarmist" numbers and predictions produced by the UN councils.

Apparently, the UN experts publish a range of predictions, so the climate change critic's trick is to contrast his numbers with the "alarmist" ones, the most pessimistic ones, in the UN documents. The article is not specific about which numbers are considered "alarmist."

This does not change the fact that by far the majority of scientists who seriously study the topic of climate change predict some sort of climate change. What they don't know is just precisely how severe the change will be.

My expert also said something about the idea that some scientists have been trying to find better or additional sources of data about climate change because they don't want to totally rely on the satellite data. There are other types of data like information from the seas that need to be analyzed.

I don't understand this too well, but I hope my rather weak explanations will help someone.
