Busted: Massive Calif. pot farm spanned 50 acres

Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) agents staged a raid Thursday on a marijuana farm in Sanger, Calif., just outside of Fresno, and were stunned to find that the operation had grown to cover more than 50 acres.

In this helicopter footage, you can really get a bird’s eye view of just how much marijuana was being produced here, although it’s unclear if every last plant shown is the straight dope or other plants used to disguise the crop.

About 50 people were arrested, according to The Sacramento Bee

Whoa, it was a nice chopper ride though; seemed to have covered vastly more than 50 acres, so what's 50 acres look like from the air? and just where do they grow the medicinal weed - in the teaching (horticulture) hospital's greenhouses? Guess Fresno's gonna be stoned when they do that controlled burn, LOL. Or they're gonna need a big warehouse or at least a few tobacco barns for the distribution of the evidence (my bad). Such a shame - potential tax money going up in smoke and lots more new prison-widget makers to feed.
