He is doing his best to see that the financial obligations of the United States are dishonored, which is a violation of his oath of office.

I live in Kentucky...I never thought the people of this state, regardless of the predominance of conservatives (that use to not be true), would never elect Rand Paul. Recall McConnell...would love to be part of that process but I'm not sure the majority of people here would see him as the bag.
I wish I was wrong....all I know is I don't think it would be successful...but it is a very nice thought.
