I'm kind of surprised it's gotten this close to the wire, but something will give before Tuesday.

11. That Asteroid has valuable metals and Obama cheated us out of it. |
|
Obama interfered with God's will. They will twist anything .... they are just better at deception then we are.

Neither party wants that on their record. They'll make a last minute deal then pat each other on the back in the name of "bipartisanship"

It's 11th hour politics at it's worst.
Now it's even more prudent that we pay attention...

12. The Deadline WIll Pass, |
|
but that does not equate to a default. I believe Obama will keep making interest payments and withold money from other government functions. As he should.

14. Default unless Reid/Obama blink since the teabaggers won't. |
|
Tea party will lose the battle if this goes beyond August 2. Repub big money will eventually force them to blink but not til the end of August and lots of chaos and damage to people.
Obama can "win" this by not blinking first, but he would have to be willing to hurt a lot of us in order to land a body blow to the tea party. The advantage of zealots is they don't care how many people get hurt. I'm not sure that Obama will call their bluff (which really isn't a bluff come to think of it since they really want things to crash) even though he has a "winning hand" because of the pain that will be a byproduct of his "winning".
