Help me understand this. The rethugs keep claiming that the White House does
not have anything in writing for a proposal. The proposal should be in writing from the House because the President cannot present a bill on the floor of the House. He can do the verbal negotiations but the written proposal has to be presented by a member of the House. Is this correct or am I confused in my thinking?

1. They know that - they're getting that sound bite out there for
the masses.

He did more than any other President -- he sat in the fucking meetings. it's usually Staffers who hash all this out.

The man will never do enough for them.

7. Let us remember
that he asked for this job. I agree that sitting in meetings with these folks would be difficult at best, but I will not worry too much about him while doing so.

I do worry about potential cuts to Social Security or Medicare for the working class of this country who have worked all their lives, paid into the system each paycheck, played by the rules and now may very well get screwed.

One wonders if "they did enough?"

The representatives in the House and the senators in the Senate can create bills and introduce them to their respective floors.

The President does NOT write or introduce bills, The President just signs the bill after both the House and Senate passes the same bill.

RE: 2012 Budget

The CPC budget:
• Eliminates the deficits and creates a surplus
• Puts America back to work with a “Make it in America” jobs program
• Protects the social safety net
• Ends the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq
• Is FAIR (Fixing America’s Inequality Responsibly)

To summarize what our budget accomplishes:
• Primary budget balance by 2014.
• Budget surplus by 2021.
• Reduce public debt as a share of GDP to 64.4% by 2021, down 16.9 percentage points from
a baseline fully adjusted for both the doc fix and the AMT patch.
• Reduce deficits by $5.7 trillion over 2012-21
• Both outlays and revenue equal 22.3% of GDP by 2021.
