1. They are leading us down the highway to hell.
Their strategy is to PRAY! PRAY!

Shouldn't that worry us just a little!?

15. No it isn't. They are craven terrorists more interested in derailing the President
Than in protecting the world. Terrorists. No good intentions to be seen.

26. I guess I should have put the :sarcasm: thingee
for the sarcasm challenged here.

This obviously is a dig at the old puritanical saying that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. I have always hated that mantra and this situation proves it a falacy.

Yale constitutional law professor Bruce Ackerman with a very different idea of how things will play out and the Republicans and Congressional teabaggers STILL look nuts : http://www.slate.com/id/2300429

In contrast to 1995-96, the government can still spend all the tax revenues it collects, and it will be up to the president, and his secretary of the Treasury, to establish payment priorities. Under the Constitution, the first priority must be the payment of interest on the national debt—which the 14th Amendment states "shall not be questioned." Since the Treasury will be receiving about $172 billion in revenues in August, it will have no trouble paying the interest of $29 billion due during the month. There is no reason for the bond markets to panic.

Once the president makes it clear that American bonds are absolutely secure, he must decide how he will spend the rest of the revenue. Obama has already indicated that Social Security payments are in danger—and when the checks stop arriving, Washington will hear from millions of pensioners. If the Tea Party continues to resist a genuine compromise at that point, Boehner will have little choice but to ram the bill through the House with the aid of Democratic votes. As Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell put it, further intransigence would assure that the "Republican brand" will be damaged goods for a very long time to come.

Boehner's collapse, moreover, may teach Republicans a sobering lesson about the modern Constitution. Quite simply, it takes much more than the momentary control of the House to force America into the embrace of a radically new governing philosophy. It takes a president like Franklin Roosevelt or Ronald Reagan to launch such an effort—and even they cannot succeed decisively unless they can carry both houses of Congress in repeated elections.

The failures of Boehner and Gingrich show that there is no shortcut to this arduous process. Memories are short, but not that short. After two failed efforts in 20 years, it may be a generation or more before another movement tries to use the House to dictate terms to the Senate and president. The current impasse is not the prologue to some escalating congressional breakdown. It is the end of Gingrich's dream of a constitutional putsch by the House of Representatives.

4. THE TPARTY NATION is what they pledge allegiance to!
The TPARTY patriots are loyal to the TPARTY above country and their goals are to eviscerate govt and cut taxes. THE TPARTY NATION is nothing we have ever seen before outside the CONFEDERACY which was a separate govt in conflict with the US of AMERICA. The TPARTY NATION has declared WAR on the US constitution as drafted by the Founders. They want to change it to reflect the new ideals of faux christianity. ALEC is driving the legislative agenda across the country. They are out to destroy unions and workers who may resist their radical policies toward one man rule. Look at FL,OH,NJ, WI and MI: they have governors that have been given dictatorial powers by their legislatures. They are deliberately attempting to suppress voter registration and they are weakening public education while robbing the state treasuries. In FL, Scott is about the privatize the prison system. And yet, the experience in privatization in AZ is that it has cost AZ about $1600.00 a year more per prisoner to have a private system and that the prison system is substandard and bordering on inhumane. I know people don't have much sympathy for criminals, but a guy who goes to jail for a DWI should not get a life sentence because of incompetence. Our nation is in real trouble. the DEMS are really behind and we have a smart President that is really not very clever in out maneuvering the enemy. Jan Brewer of AZ committed murder on Medicaid patients, by denying organ transplant dollars to qualifying patients and transferring that money to pay her prison buddies. TheTPARTY NATION is ruthless, soulless and not interested in the US of AMerica. They want to destroy it and rebuild it in their image. They are a clear and present danger to our free society.

All their main talking heads and political reporters know this is insane.

(Of course they never mention CNN's role in the rise of the Teabaggers.)

11. I agree they are but has anyone thought to ask what the other plan could be?
For example, could some of them have their spouses, parents or children "investing" like how oil speculators bet on the price of oil going up?
Not saying that they "are" doing that of course.

12. Not really.
They may tear the country to shreds but in the process Obama's chances to win in the next election may be close to nil since even us Dems are turning against him now.
I think it's a pretty good strategy if you have one goal and one goal only with no consideration for the terrible consequences to other human beings.
Obama may have a hard time winning over even a piss poor, idiotic teabagger next year.

So -- Mission Accomplished.

If a teabagger wins, government will start functioning again.
(Functioning to tear out every life support for the American population of course, but functioning nonetheless.)
