This morning...NBC News...Somalia, worst drought in 60 years...Texas, worst drought in 50 years...
...cities in 32 states (including Fort Smith, Ark.) recording record-high temperatures this month...it almost seems like...like...like the planet is warming up! But I know that's not true, because the pretty blond lady in the "Fossil Fuels Are America's Best Friends Forever and Do Not Harm The Environment In Any Way" commercials says so!

I guess I'm just getting foolish in my old age. Yeah, that's it! :-)

3. I blame these drastic climate conditions on Republicon Family Values - International style
Edited on Sat Jul-30-11 10:15 AM by SpiralHawk
Republicon devotion to greed and grab, and their utter refusal to face facts economic or environmental, combined with a whopping dose of Ignorant Arrogance, has brought these sucky planetary conditions into being.

Thanks a big fat steenkin diaperload, Republicons.

5. I live in S. Texas. We have water - huge aquifers
We weren't even under water restrictions til the city well pump went kaput. We were allowed to water all day and night. Now that we only have one working pump, can only water between 6-10 in the morning and 6-10 in the afternoon. Its a money issue to fix the other 2 wells/pumps the town has. Getting a grant to do that.

We have 3 huge grass farms that water all day. They sell grass all over the country and trucks roll out constantly full of pallets of grass. If you have a well, you are good to go!

6. Exporting that water -- for the profit of a few (R) is super stoopid in the long run
...because that water ain't never coming back. And Texans are going to be needing it...
