1. They should do like they do for Social Security
For every dollar those Generals receive from a defense related company they should lose 2 from their pension.

4. It IS a part of the deficit discussion.
Why just two weeks ago, the Pentagon got a double-digit budget increase.

http://readersupportednews.org/news-section2/306-10/6554-pentagon-gets-double-digit-increase

Now THAT'S American Politics at its finest and an example of why we are where we are today.

Barney Frank: "We are at a time of austerity. We are at a time when the important programs, valid programs, are being cut back. The military budget is not on the table. The military is at the table, and it is eating everybody else's lunch."

Well, hey, at least we don't have to worry about eating our peas...the military will more than happy to oblige."

9. Gotta keep them war profits rolling in.
What better way then to fund the enemy to keep them afloat. Otherwise we might win. There are only 40 or so, they need all the help they can get.

12. How else can we drag out wars against stone-age people if we don't fund them? Otherwise, we'd win

10. 3rd rail for funding of politicians- The powers that be.
Not for voters who don't seem to count anymore since we vote on unverifiable black boxes counted by the owners.

14. Some things are 'Off Limits.'
Were this still a functioning democracy, Pentagon spending would not be one of those things.
