I've never heard of any drug called 'dark'...however it could be local slang for some drug.

If "dark" was, indeed, what he was looking for, Urban Dictionary says it's one British nickname for heroin.

I hope other posters here are correct in suggesting that he meant "dank" -- high-quality marijuana.
