How can Democrats prevent themselves from being slimed-by-association w/rethugs?
World Reacts To Debt Ceiling Debacle: ‘Irresponsible,’ ‘Worst Kind Of Absurd Theatrics,’ U.S. Politicians A ‘Laughing Stock’

From France and Germany to China and India, countries around the world are angry that American politicians play with the possibility of a U.S. default like a yo-yo with little regard for the international economic system that depends on American solvency.

1. Quit working with them
A ‘Laughing Stock’ indeed. This is what happens when bipartisanship is a requirement on the Democrats side.

3. the TPARTY NATION wants to evolve from the US of AMERICA!
The TPARTY PATRIOTS are as great a threat to the UNION as the confederacy. They are out to destroy the country in hopes of rebuilding it in its own image. States' rights once again prevail while the union is weakened. The TPARTY NATION has control of the SCOTUS and 85 members in the House and several state legislatures. They are not interested in the greater good or the constitution.

Well said. I hadn't thought of it that way.

Do you see any hope?

From over the pond, I see US politics getting scarier by the year. I'm at the point where I have no reason to go there, even when paid to do so.

6. yeah, yeah, yeah
And the right says the same thing about us.

While there are some groups that would love to see the nation destroyed and the constitution discarded, most people on both sides are concerned about where we're going but have different views on how preserve our form of government and strengthen our nation.

7. It's too bad Americans can't agree that a strong social security
and medical/medicare plan for all would be beneficial, especially as the baby-boomers enter into their retirement. I don't hear the left talking about undermining social security and medicare. Doesn't that seem self-destructive to you?
