It is small consolation that the Tea-Terrorist GOP, in making their intentions crystal clear, is handing the Democratic Party a gift in the form of a 2012 campaign issue that Democrats (those who would not only rhetorically defend, but govern, to defend the very programs that at least 85% of all Americans, including a overwhelming majority of Republican voters, depend on for their own old-age financial security and healthcare) could use to make the GOP a permanent fringe minority as they deserve.



Apparently, the powers that be in the Tea-Terrorist/GOP/"conservative" movement are confident that there are no Democrats willing to truly defend the Social Compact programs now in the GOP gun-sights.



The Tea-Terrorist/GOP puppetmasters are apparently confident that consequently, the Democratic Party will be totally unable to take advantage of what should be, by all sane calculations, a slam dunk.

I'm thinking of printing up posters supporting the re-election of the dipshit Republican Congressman in my district and mail them out, asking constituents to vote for him because he will end the all-too-expensive Medicare program and privatize Social Security by placing it in the hands of Wall Street speculators. I'll send it out to every senior citizen organization in the district. I think seniors could really get up in arms and replace this turkey if they were informed.
