after a few hours of mostly good discussion... I think this term will work for the kind of people that are about to sink the country.
Two things...
IT IS NOT class specific or region specific. Idiocrats exists in the hallowed halls of academia and in the country side. They exist in the CEO office, and the factory floor. In other words, this is a state of mind.
It is not meant as a way to insult, but we need to stop being afraid of using frames and creating frames. This is my small offering to this.
So Idiocrat, Noun. A person who is afraid of anything that might challenge his or her world view, and it quite rigid in his or her thinking. They tend to be hard right wing and are cultural warriors who'd love to suppress any scientific or cultural knowledge. They are proud of their willfull ignorance and wear it as a badge of honor.
Usage: Senator Inhofe is an Idiocrat who denies humans could have any effect on the planetary weather systems.
President George Bush is an idiocrat who is proud of his lack of knowledge and yes men.
Johnny down the street is an idiocrat who points at you and calls you a show off when you know something he does not.
Thank you DU... and on a serious note, we need to come up with frames that are effective, The hard times are coming and I am serious on that.

10. I think it's more likely people will connect it with Democrats or tiresomely rules-following people. |

Much more vivid, funnier, and not as obfuscatory.

Don't need you to create new words when "teabagger" does just fine.
