1. I posted the same thing in another thread-- Krystal Ball! Pretty funny!
Amazing-- does this mean she can look into herself and see what happens with the debt ceiling vote?

2. Actually she spoke on FSTV at Netroots and I liked her quite a bit...
She can't help that perhaps her parents listened too much to Styx when smoking in the dorms in college...

26. A common newsroom joke in eastern Iowa was a woman named "Fonda Dix"...
Hard to understand why someone wouldn't get a name like that changed.

5. Krystal is Infamous for a naughty photo. I can't even post the headline but I can post a link.
You'll just have to click on it.

Now, this photo aside, she tried but failed to unseat a nasty Republican.

Was she just on teevee?

Did I miss something???

Controversial photos

In October 2010, Ball received national attention when photos taken six years earlier emerged showing her at a holiday party dressed as a "naughty Santa" sucking a red phallus attached to her then-husband's nose.<14> Ball admitted the photos depicted her, adding "of course it's embarrassing, but more than that, I'm pretty angry about it. I think this is incredibly sexist. I think it's outrageous."<15> In a response article published by The Huffington Post, Ball stated that "society has to accept that women of my generation have sexual lives that are going to leak into the public sphere". She also attributed reactions to the photos as due to "this whole idea that female sexuality and serious work are incompatible" and expressed concern that accepting such conduct as part of politics would create a glass ceiling for women in politics.<16>

When the photos were suddenly released by an undisclosed source, they quickly went viral. Ball suggested that her opponent, Rob Wittman, was to blame stating "this smear campaign started against me, posted by a blogger with close ties to my opponent’s campaign and the local Republican party." Wittman publicly asked all bloggers to remove the pictures from their sites and released the statement that he was "adamantly opposed to their display."

14. Watch these videos from NetRoots where she discusses this issue.
2010 Netroots - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w83ikccdJ_Y

2011 Netroots - http://www.netrootsnation.org/node/1717 (video was on FSTV, don't see it on their web site)

I think its a bit tougher for younger people these days to avoid the potential problems from making mistakes with their privacy on forums like Facebook, etc. that many of us as older folk didn't have to worry about when we were kids.

6. I Thought The Same Thing... Then I Did A Little Digging...
Krystal Marie Ball (born November 24, 1981<1>) is a businesswoman and certified public accountant. She was the Democratic Party nominee for United States Congress in Virginia's 1st congressional district in the 2010 election, losing to Republican Rob Wittman.

Personal life, education and career

Ball's father, Edward Ball, was born in West Virginia and has a Ph.D. in physics. Her mother, Rose Marie Ball, is an educator in King George County.<2> The name Krystal came from her father, a physicist who did his dissertation on crystals.<3> Ball has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Virginia. She is a business owner and CPA.<4> Ball and her husband, Jonathan Dariyanani, have a daughter, Ella, born in 2008.<5>

Ball had worked for the federal contractor CGI Group.<5> Ball helped reform the Civil Criminal Accounting system for 89 Federal District Courts to improve accountability and increase efficiency. Ball also traveled to Louisiana to assist in the Court’s efforts to recover after Hurricane Katrina. While working full-time with the Courts, she took night classes to earn her CPA.<6>

2010 U.S. Congressional campaign

In 2010 Ball ran to represent Virginia's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives and was defeated by Republican incumbent Rob Wittman.<7><8> Early in the race, Ball was endorsed by WUFPAC (Women Under Forty Political Action Committee).<9> Despite being defeated by a margin of 63.90% to 34.76%,<10> the former candidate was named by Forbes Magazine as number 21 on the magazine’s "The Top 25 Most Powerful Women Of The Midterm Elections".

12. For Those Who Don't Watch Earlier MSNBC Daily... She's Been On
many, many times of late! She's decidedly a Democrat because she sides with Jimmy Williams most of the time when they have Repukes or some other type on.

And yes, her name is Krystal Ball. Don't know about her earlier years, but I suspect you'll be seeing more and more of her. MSNBC has been switching people in and out for a couple of months now as fillers for the regular guys at their time slots.

I've seen posts here about Dylan Ratigan, but frankly he has been ranting about this crappy mess for a very long time and is at times almost rabid about what he's been seeing. Really is DOWN on Timmy Geithner too. Said so many times. I myself like him a lot even if he has alternative people on. He does have a lot of inside info about WALL STREET and isn't afraid to voice his opinion.

Krystal is on his show a lot.

Outta here for now... I've had ENOUGH of another disgusting day in D.C.!

She's smart, informed and knows how to frame facts in a short concise manner. She does her research.
So her parent's had a sense of humor.

My friend and I used to kill study hall time thinking of stripper names.
