Progressives need to take the WH as their own. Obama, the Republicans - they're all owned by corporate interests.
By "Take the WH as their own", I mean, have Bernie Sanders run in primary against Obama.

so it's quite possibly a direct benefits-cut being set against a direct defense budget cut, a sort of MAD meant to insure that the Commission's recommendations are taken-up.
That's a guess, I have no inside knowledge.
