So far, none of the dems have been as forthright as he has been in defending SS, Medicare and Medicaid.

9. I think he is classified an independent but he describes himself

as a Democratic Socialist. He says that means there are certain rights all people should have, regardless of income, and if they do not, the government is obligated to provide or help provide them. Included in that list is health care.
