5. I used to be upset I was thrown under the bus. Until I realized the buss was driving off a cliff.
When my trusted Democratic representatives in the House and Senate, whom I've voted for for over a decade, are calling Bullshit on Obama, I tell ya, I start to think being under the bus with them and the majority of Progressive thinkers is the safest place to be.

13. Will Dems vote against it?
They can say what they want, but it's BS if they just go along with it.

17. Since last Dec. the Prez. has been cutting deals with the likes of McConnel and Boehner and...
...keeping Democratic Leadership in the dark. Then, after they cut their little deal, Obama and (more usually) Biden come out and do the arm-twisting. It barely worked last time. This time, they have the fear they need to do it again.

That Obama takes the blame for what Dems in congress will accept?

25. The Obamacrats do. He can give it all to the GOP, it doesn't matter
Retirees don't matter, the poor don't matter, unions don't matter, jobs don't matter, the environment doesn't matter, civil rights don't matter, the Democratic platform of 2008 doesn't matter, NOTHING matters except loyalty to Obama. It's the flip side of the Teabagger's "Obama derangement syndrome" ; they'll destroy us all to ensure that he's a one term President, the Obamacrats will do the same to our party to ensure that he isn't questioned or doubted (never mind that Obama himself instructed us to hold his "feet to the fire."). It's all complete madness, and a distraction from what really matters to the Nation and to the world.

42. I'd call them the flip side to the 20% or so
that still insist Bush the Lesser was the greatest President we ever had. They've even appropriated the rhetoric the Bushites used. Bush Derangement Syndrome was a terrible thing to say, until they could latch onto it and use it the exact same way in the exact same context.

It's about personalities instead of policies or positions.

sand, and others are ideologues with closed minds, having been blinded by their mostly deranged ideology. :patriot:

It doesn't make it any easier that the terrorists are determined to run him out of town and to Hell with the damage it costs the world.

Not Sure What Fineman Thinks Our "Passive" President Could Have Done
to change the outcome of events. The republicans didn't want a deal under any circumstances. Why aren't pundits others than a few on the left pointing out this inconvenient little fact?

10. Passive? Somebody school me here, has any other president been this involved in raising the debt
ceiling? I've heard this is the first time this has been a problem, so I'm assuming he's the first one that's had to deal with this. From what I've seen, it looks as if he's been working hard on getting it passed. My take anyway.

29. Passive President? Who gambled on the Bin Laden operation in Pakistan?
I believe several senior intelligence and defense veterans said he showed more courage than they had ever seen in a President. I doubt he's afraid of the cold-blooded McConnell. BHO has some ice water in his veins too.

Democrats! You know, the Senate majority led by Reid and the 193 Democrats led by Pelosi.

"Bad combo: passive president, tea party rejectionists and cold-blooded McConnell."

Seriously, McConnell must be one ruthless bastard to get top billing over every elected Democrat in Congress.

The media, including Fineman, suck!
