I see Syrians bleeding and dying, being massacred for a chance to even dream of democracy.
Then I see our lawmakers in DC throwing it all away.

4. People care. It's countries that don't - particularly those that reserve the right to use tanks

and troops against their own people.

"Don't interfere in our 'internal affairs' and we won't interfere in yours." IOW, "Use your tanks and troops on your civilians to retain your power, but don't complain when we do the same."
