A question about Michelle Bachmann.
Is she a poser, like Ann Coulter, who acts like a clueless crazy person as a marketing strategy, to get attention, and to impress her dad, or is she the real thing like Sarah Palin? Haven't been able to figure that out yet.

Thanks.

4. Welcome to DU
I think she's an opportunist, faux leader. And I think she's a front for more nefarious organizations, to carry out their agenda.

5. I'd say the real deal.
Unlike Coulter, she doesn't give off the "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" vibe. She really means what she says.

7. She means what she says because she is afraid to see the truth
Her husband is gay. She has been living this lie for decades. It started when she saw the "light". I have never understood this force that draws people to become followers of Christ. Once she did that, everything she was told about Christ, she had to believe or else she would be lying to herself. Thus we get to her hubby. He has been playing her like a puppet. She is a so conflicted inside. It will take a miracle to make her see the real light!

8. Another Anosognosia Sufferer
Like many current "junk celebs," politicians and media pundits she suffers
from anosognosia: a condition in which a person who suffers this disability seems
unaware of, or denies the existence of, his or her disability. In most cases (Palin,
Bachmann et al) the lack of awareness regarding their stupidity, ignorance and
deficits doesn't prevent them from aspiring aspiring to public office. Couple this with a
large measure of narcissism, enabled by the media, we get the Bachmanns, Palins, Coulters and
their unsavory male counterparts.

Most people know their limitations whether it involves applying for a job or running for
public office. Anosognosics apparently don't stop to consider the fact they totally lack the
requisite qualifications as in Palin's obvious lack of knowledge about virtually everything.

Big egos, little brains. :puke:

10. She's real in the sense that she believes what she spews.
Dangerous woman. Hopefully she'll get so outrageous even her backers won't be able to stand by her.

11. She's real, in that she believes her own bullshit.
She did the same kind of crazy stuff when she was in the Minnesota legislature. It's not an act.

12. Palin is the P.T. Barnum of rightwingers, O'Donnell the nun, Malkin the illegal housekeeper

Coulter the call-girl, Bachmann the crazy cat lady, V. Jackson Ellie Mae Clampett, Laura Bush the Stepford wife, GWB Jethro Bodine, GHWB Jed Clampett, Barbara Bush Granny

Yeah they all are for real, and as whacked out as can be, but just different in their approach.

You don't get the be that powerful, that successful and that influential on a national stage by believing the stupid shit they have to pretend to support.

15. She and Palin are like peas in a pod. Both affiliated with
extremist reactionary belief systems, grifters and scammers, and love the camera. Both lie through their teeth. One is just a little more savvy in the way she presents herself and has demonstrated she has some sort of filter, even though it has gaping holes in it. Neither have sound ideas or a grasp of facts or history. Neither are suited for any office in the land.
