I'm going to focus my frustration in a positive way |
|
1. I'm sending both money and time phone banking for Wisconsin. I live in Florida but if we are able to turn things around in WI it will send a huge ripple through the media and message that Dems will NOT roll over. 2. I am in that asshole Allen West's district. I'm going to spend every waking moment trying to help defeat that asshole next year.

I get really down in the dumps over this. I just try to control what I can. Just think...if it wasn't Obama doign this "neogotiations" it would have been McCain and Palin. Even worse...imagine if McCain has an unfortunate "fall" and was deemed non-effective leader. Sarah fucking Palin would be handling this problem right now.

He is a good progressive. I am also going to send what money I can come up with to whoever challenges Steve King (R-Insane, IA)
I will phone bank for Obama/Biden, important to get out the vote so they will vote for Dems in the house. (My rep)

6. Lately I've become a lot more active locally - we have |

elections in my town in Sept and I've been making calls and going door to door for liberal candidates for mayor, school board and other offices. At this point, I feel like I can have at least some impact on local politics. Because it's clear I have no influence on what goes on in DC.
