Government by extortion.
"Gimme tax cut extensions for the rich, or the unemployed get it"

"Gimme what I want, or the world economy gets it"

Pass a clean bill to raise the debt ceiling, and stop the congressional terrorists.

4. Follow the money
The Tea Party is just a front for the Koch Brothers and Dick Armey. Add a dash of Fox News, Glenn Beck, and Jim DeMint and the rest of them are just a bunch of screwy zanies.

We do need to do something about them, however. There are around 60 of them in the House. Unfortunately 36 of these come from the Old South, so they're liable to be around a while. The rest of them, however, we can possibly target and get rid of.

Here's the list:

5. A week ago I thought a clean bill was possible, I don't think that so much now.

6. Based on what I've read...
...many on the Right believe that government is extortion. I doubt it originated with her, but I believe it's in Ayn Rand. Government, the idea runs, has a monopoly on the use of force. It should be considered inherently violent and bullying. As with many RW ideas, perhaps there's some sort of inversion of ideas from the Left involved. "Property is theft" is converted into "government is theft". Looking at it this way, they seem to decide that government has no moral authority and is an abomination which must be fought, undermined, or subverted at every turn and by any means possible. So they feel absolutely untroubled about becoming part of government in order to use their power to destroy that government.
