I'm going to say something nice about Boner....don't faint.
I applaud his comments that said if this happens to one member of Congress it happens to all of us.

And I applaud him putting legislation on hold this week.

Has he inflamed hatred in the past? "Hell yes". But at this very moment in time, he is doing the right thing.

Flame away  I've got lots of popcorn in my house.

1. I certainly won't flame you on this.
A moment of decency is a moment of decency, no matter who we get it from.

I wouldn't say enjoy it, but reflect on it, while it lasts.

2. He had no choice
To inflame it further following an event such as this past weekend, would have meant political suicide for the orange man.

3. won't flame you, but, I doubt he did it for decent reasons. would guess that the only reason he did
it was because he knew the hell he would catch had he not done so.

the only thing I found decent about him was him not displaying any of his phony tears.

4. No tears is one part that actually bothers me. This is a time in our country to shed a few tears.

5. I'm going to agree with most of the responses so far...he had no choice.
I'm not going to applaud him for anything. If there were any way to continue banging on the drum, he'd be banging it this morning.

This is a forced time-out. He had no choice. He's not deserving of any applause. Wait and see how he acts after this has had a chance to subside. Then we can talk about applauding him. My guess is that conversation will never take place.

6. The problem is next week he and the rest of the repukes
will go right back to their old rhetoric and trying to destroy everything created by a Democrat.

8. That's right. This is about him as well!
When he calls out Palin and company for their contribution to this tragedy I will believe he actually feels this way.

10. I agree, give props when they are deserved
that is when bi-partisan talks may be more than a hope.

11. Well, this did accomplish taking the health care
repeal off the calendar. I wrote a letter to Boner asking him to stop using his power to play silly games that affect the country in a negative way. Because this health care repeal was only a game. I don't believe my letter affected him, but I believe even he saw through the bottom of his martini glass that this would make him and the Republicans look very bad after the tragic events in Tuscon this weekend.
