Once you take the mortality related phrases out of speeches of conservatives, this is what you'll end up with:

"We're going to... uh... and if we don't... eh... then Obama and his liberals will... er... and we need to... uh... lower taxes... uh... to... stop... America... uh... uh... terrorism? No... can't say that... Well, that's my speech."

The right wing's fascination with death does need to be examined.

3. Any statistical analyses of violent language in the media?
I'm sure there must be some organization somewhere who can parse TV and/or radio shows over a certain time period and determine the percentage of vocabulary with violent connotations for political shows. Some kind of numerical breakdown might make it difficult for the right to keep denying responsibility or claiming false equivalency.

4. Source of the "Death Panel" rhetoric in the legislation?
Does anyone know the exact wording that the RW is pointing at when they keep going on and on with the death panel nonsense? I understand it has to do with end-of-life planning, but is there a place where one can copy-and-paste the exact language in order to force someone to show where euthanasia is somehow becoming an option?

Right, but do you know the exact wording in the legislation she was twisting?

7. Not really much of a twisting, just creating her own reality
This is where she somehow equates end-of-life planning to standing in front a jury that will decide your fate.

"The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's 'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil."

8. The Republicans speak their language
The fringe groups are drawn to these politicians and pundits because they speak to them as if they are "them". They know what buttons to push, and what fires up these crazies. I think it's time they learn a new language.
