3. They don't talk about failures but real estate is my livelihood and I have to live
it. Once they get government out of it and stop the interest deductions, they will finish it off.

have benefitted..have lost their homes..etc. The Hamp program is an abysmal failure. People are losing their homes. Nothing is being done. I'm not going to argue with you. You either see that or you dont.

17. Most are losing their homes b/c they lost their jobs and
there is no income, not because the program is a failure.

18. there is no incentive for the banks to truly negotiate with homeowners
foreclosure is punitive and the banks make more money than renegotiating the loans ..they would prefer to foreclose, sell at half the price to the new owner, lower the home values for the entire neighborhood..and put the family who has lived there for 20 years in the street..no reason not to for the banks

19. and there you have a frightened demoralized shocked and broke huge segment of the population
no mention of reinstating the primary residence clause in the bankruptcy bill either..not a peep since early 2009...which was in place from the depression to 2005..just a few years before this financial meltdown

why?

there is a crime being committed to us..appears to be legal but it is a crime nonetheless

22. True and what good is renegotiation when there are no
funds to pay the mortgage? You can't live anywhere for free (other than relatives and parents, that is).

11. Yep, I have a friend and two neighbors who have been desperately seeking
loan modification for two years now. Bank of America told my friend "Hey, just get a job that pays $1,000 a week. Problem solved!", and the bank won't even discuss the matter with my neighbors. :grr:

21. Then they must be insane. Should this happen they will have
perfectly good mortgage holders walking away. There will be no incentive for the homeowner to keep the property.
