Tom "The Hammer" Delay sentenced to 3 years in prison, and 10 years

probation. He was taken to the county jail, where he is expected to be freed on $10,000 bond pending appeal. He states that he did nothing wrong and that this is all political harrassment and payback by Democrats...They judge told him otherwise, though;

Prosecutors were asking for 10 years in prison, but seemed satisfied that he wil eventually spend some time in a real prison after his appeals are exhausted, whenever that may be.

I think Delay believes in the "I can do no wrong-I am a Republican!" theory of justice...I am delighted to see him sentenced, and hope I live long enough to see him serve at least a year of it.
