Loughner was a registered Independent. Link provided. |

Edited on Mon Jan-10-11 06:50 PM by chowder66
"Loughner registered to vote on Sept. 29, 2006, identifying himself as an independent. Records show he voted in the 2006 and 2008 elections but is current listed as "inactive" on the state's voter roles -- meaning that he did not vote in November." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/09/arizona-shooting-news_n_806397.html#177_loughner-was-registered-independent-didnt-vote-in-2010-electionfor those who are wondering why I posted this it is for no "reason" other than to post the information for those who may find this interesting. I have no agenda with this.

4. Sounds like lots of the Tea Party folks. |
|
They left the GOP around 2006 after voting for Bush twice in 2000 and 2004, and then pretended to be independent.

Lots of SANE former GOP folks turned "independent" in 2006 and 2008, dropping their GOP label. Some went Tea Party / some Libertarian.
From what we know, this guy went "INDEPENDENT" in 2006, long BEFORE the Tea Party kicked off (Jan 2009).
There was NO Tea Party for him to join. There still isn't one.
He became more erratic in the past year, bought his gun AFTER the elections, and then performed his assassination the same week the new congress took office.
Whether he voted in November doesn't matter. He's clearly insane and saw the government as the primary threat ... who else thinks that? And who tells people like him to fear the government?
Why he did not vote in November is irrelevant. He may have believed that those in AZ who hate government would win. He may have simply missed it (he is insane after all).
When you read his ranting, and you compare those to say Glenn Beck's ranting ... the similarities are there.

and I can assure you... he was no more a TeaBagger than you are. He was a very sick guy who didn't receive the medical care he should have.
Yeah, he had issues with the Gold Standard and the Treasury. Did you know he called the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan a WAR CRIME?

he also talks about alien zombies, believes that NASA fakes every space mission because rocket fuel is absorbed in a vacuum and equates praying to talking to a toilet.
The guy is APOLITICAL. No question.

|
Doesn't tell you much about their voting pattern. But this guy would have had a home at Free Republic and no one would have had a problem with any of his incoherent ramblings.

they want to hear that Loughner is a registered Republican, Palin supporter, and a teabagger. When actually it appears he isn't any of those things. This guy is just a certified nut, that's all..
