Man accused of threatening senator's staff
DENVER, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- A man faces charges in Colorado for allegedly making multiple threats to the staff of U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet, authorities said Monday.

The Denver Post reported the latest incident occurred Thursday when the suspect, John Troy Davis, allegedly called Bennet's Denver office with concerns about his Social Security benefits and said he "may go to terrorism."

"To get your attention, I will go down there and set fire to the perimeter," an affidavit quotes Davis as saying.

3. The good news - and it's damn hard to come by right now

The good news - and I'll take what I can get in that vein - is that screwballs like John Troy Davis will get a lot of official attention for their off-the-rails threats, and maybe (just maybe) some help* in dealing with reality.

By which I mean counseling or other psychological services, measured in milligrams rather than caliber.
