About Tom Delay's 3 year sentence.... |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-10-11 08:57 PM by Stuart G
Most don't think he will serve a day...maybe so.Maybe he won't..
But, I recall several years ago, thinking the exact same thing about Georgy Ryan, former governor of Illinois who was on trial, and convicted of corruption. Very strong legal team, headed by another former governor and prosecutor Jim Thompson..no one thought that Ryan would lose, and when he lost, no one thought he would spend one minute let alone one day in jail..Everyone thought his appeals would win, well they didn't.
He is in his third year in jail..right now, today.

That's what America needs to see, to know that the ladder of law has no top and no bottom.

6. If he does serve his 3 years |

I look forward to many of DU's collective fawning over his redemption upon his possible return to elected public service. You know, a couple "I'm sorry" statements and all will be well. And many on DU will cheer his "second chance" and heap high praise on whomever delivers him back to the public spectrum. He'll be embraced as a good example of how the system works, even if he's the same evil motherfucker he was.
And anyone that doesn't, is just a fucking racist.
Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into a Michael Vick thread. Carry on.
