6. The truly startling thing about that episode
Bush actually cut short one of his interminable vacations to bolt back to DC and meddle in that poor woman's demise. And yet, the entire sordid story has just disappeared from our national discourse, even though it's a perfectly good example of Republican extremism, overreach and callousness.
